Homework Monday, January 22, 2018

Do the next activities:
  • Copy or print and paste the Vocabulary Lesson 16 in your Writing and Vocabulary notebook, and find a synonym for each word.
  • Copy (do not print and paste) the Spelling Words Lesson 16 in the notebook.
  • Investigate what is to classify and write the definition in the Science Notebook.
  • Do Activity 3 of p. 43 of the Science Book. 
  • Print the diagram of the Digestive System and bring it to class.  




Vocabulary Lesson 16


tender: adj. Something, like food, that is tender is soft and easy to chew or cut.
“The meat was tender and juicy.”  

delighted: adj. When you are very happy about something you are delighted.  
“Sophia was delighted when she got a 10 in her test.”

brittle: adj. Things that are brittle are so stiff and hard that they break easily.
. “A glass vase can be easily broken because it is brittle.”  

embrace / embraced: v. If you hugged someone, you embraced that person.  
Angela embraced her grandmother as soon as she walked through the door.

cunning: adj. Someone who is cunning uses smart and tricky ways to get what he or she wants.  
“The cunning fox crept into the chicken house after dark.”

disguise / disguised: v. If you are disguised, you are wearing something that keeps people from knowing who you are.  
“Maya was disguised by a mask when she came to the costume party.”
